Arrive Shannon Airport where you driver will be waiting or collect your rental car. Drive south (2 hours) to Kinsale in county Cork where you will base for 2 nights. Kinsale is a fun harbour town with great bars and restaurants.
Play Old Head of Kinsale Golf Links - Perhaps the most unique golf course in the world with 300 foot cliffs surrounding the majority of the course. Its truly spectacular.
Morning drive north west to Tralee in the county of Kerry. Arnold Palmer's only "links" design and what a design it is! Stunning vistas abound at every turn with almost every hole on the course memorable for years to come. The course is set before some of Ireland’s most spectacular beaches. The back-nine at Tralee is especially brilliant and this course is rightfully one of the must-play options in south west Ireland.
After golf, drive south to the hot-spot of Killarney for your next 2 nights. Great pubs and restaurants in a scenic lakeside location.
Waterville is located on the southern tip of the Ring of Kerry surrounded by lakes, beaches and mountains sweeping down towards the ocean. The course is a very fair and pure test of links golf. A life-sized statue of Payne Stewart is featured at the clubhouse - dedicated to one of the clubs favourite patrons.
Morning drive to Ballybunion to play one of the most famous of all the courses in Ireland. An Irish Open (European Tour) host and a favourite of Tom Watson (he was their Millennial Captain in 2000).
Ranked 9th in Golf World's Top 100.
After golf, drive north (perhaps via a short ferry) to Lahinch in county Clare.
Old Tom Morris (of St. Andrews fame) believed Lahinch would be on a par with the five great Links courses of the United Kingdom. He believed Lahinch was the finest natural course he had seen. Lahinch, because of the Old Tom Morris connection, coupled with the great love for the game in the village, has often been referred to as the "St. Andrew's of Ireland“.
Purchased in 2014 by Donald Trump and rebranded as Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland. The course is a very unique golf experience with excellent variety of holes and challenging terrain to test all golfers. The resort is one of Ireland’s top links golf resorts. Originally this was a Greg Norman design but Mr. Trump appointed Martin Hawtree to make some great improvements when the course changed ownership.
All good things must come to an end...unfortunately! Your last hotel has left you with a short commute to the airport.
Time to begin the process for your next trip to the Emerald Isle.
